This subject covers the fundamentals of the built environment, focusing specifically on the local building sector. Topics covered include building components, building services commonly found in a building, basics of space planning and the Green Mark scheme that governs the environmental design and performance of buildings.
This was done on the First year of Green Building & Sustainability course.

Project Brief
In this project, we are suppose to help a building get Green Mark Gold and above by implementing some green features that can help boost the score in the Green Mark Scoring System. From lighting, toilet fixtures, windows and lighting. We are to work in groups and each individual would work on a specific area of improvement. After that there would be a presentation about the ideas that we have implemented and why it was implemented.
Skills & Learning Experience
I was tasked to do the toilet fixtures for the building. For my idea, I wanted to make sure the toilets that are constantly being used in the building are more water efficient. So for the toilets that are near the office or at areas where people are constantly at, the idea was to put 3 star and above water efficient toilet fittings. Depending on the number of stars for water efficiency , the higher the score for the Green Mark Score. I did have a problem where I wanted to make all the toilets have water efficient toilets but it was too costly , therefore I decided that it will only be done for toilets that are constantly in use.
I have learned
* How to cooperate with my teammates since this project requires all of us to do our parts.
* The Green Mark Scoring System
* Different types of green features that can be implemented into a building
* Presentation Skills
